Marqise Lee was injured injured in practice today. I am not sure how significant this is...tomorrow will tell.
Lee twisted awkwardly as he lunged to catch a pass in practice Saturday, and then stayed on the turf for several minutes while holding his left knee. Teammates and coaches initially ignored Lee, believing that the playful receiver was having fun at their expense, but quickly determined that Lee needed assistance.
After a couple minutes, Lee stood up on his own, spotted two reporters standing nearby and flashed two thumbs-up. Lee then did some light running on the sideline and went to a training table for examination.
Coach Lane Kiffin said Lee did not return to practice. Asked about Lee’s status for Monday’s game, Kiffin said only he was "hopeful’’ that Lee would be able to play against Georgia Tech. Lee did not appear to be in significant discomfort as he boarded the team bus after practice.
This would be just our luck.
But if Lee can't go Nelson Agholor will get his shot to shine.
