Wide receiver Marqise Lee, who set conference records 112 receptions and 1,680 yards, was selected to the 2012 AFCA All-America Team.
The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best — the coaches themselves.
Lee was also named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year earlier this week, is a finalist for the Biletnekoff award (given to nation's best wide receiver) and regarded as a Heisman Trophy contender.
The sophomore was also named one of five finalists for the Walter Camp player of the year award. The others include Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein, Oregon running back Kenjon Barner and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o.
The 2012 Walter Camp Player of the Year recipient, who is voted on by the Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors, will be announced on Thursday, December 6 during the 6 p.m. edition of ESPN SportsCenter.
