This should not surprise anyone...
Increased donations and corporate sponsorship allowed USC to post a record $84.19 million in athletic-related revenue for the 2011-12 academic report, according to documents the university filed with the U.S. Department of Education on Monday.
The figure is nearly a $10 million increase over USC's athletic revenues for the 2010-11 academic year.
UCLA reported revenues of $70.74 million this past academic year, a $4.7-million increase over the previous year.
Revenues from the Pac-12 Network and the conference's other television contracts should further drive up revenue figures for both USC and UCLA for the current academic year.
Sounds like a license to print money...which is exactly what the Pac-12 network contracts were meant to do.
That McKay Center went up fast and I would bet that the renovations of Heritage Hall will go fat as well.
Money talks...
