Thearon Collier - We hardly knew ye

The recently transferred Thearon Collier of Miami has moved on...

Receiver Thearon Collier, who transferred to USC from Miami (Fla.) in August 2010, is no longer with the program, a school spokesman said.

Collier sat out last season because of NCAA transfer rules after leaving Miami, where he was dismissed from the squad for violating team rules.

The loss of Collier, on the heels of news that tight end Blake Ayles is transferring to Miami, reduces USC’s current roster to 59 scholarship players. That’s a significant figure with the Trojans’ signee and scholarship limits not finally determined for 2011.

Collier was not doing much with the team because the staff wanted him to focus on his grades.

Sorry Theron...you don't get a pass on Academics at a place like USC.

Moving on...
