Well, it's finally back. Granted, we already watched 'SC open the 2010 season by rolling Hawaii on the road in Honolulu Thursday night, but today marks the first full slate of Saturday college football games. Even with the Trojans off today, I'm sure many of you will be keeping tabs on the rest of the action taking place nationwide. So here's a special Saturday thread for everyone to enjoy.
It's opening week, so there's not a plethora of top-25 matchups, but some intriguing ones nonetheless. (Here's the full lineup via ESPN). UCLA travels to Manhattan, Kansas, where it'll debut its "famed" pistol offense against Kansas State. You all know the drill with Rick Neuheisel and the Bruins. In two seasons, Slick Rick has gone 11-14 with just one bowl win, yet most Bruin backers remain overly optimistic about the upcoming season and future of the program. We won't know if their faith is misplaced after today, but we will get a better grasp on the direction of UCLA football following today's contest.
Additionally, another USC rival, Notre Dame, begins the Brian Kelly era today at home against Purdue. Rich Rodriguez is fighting for his job, as Michigan hosts Connecticut. Nonetheless, whatever game you're watching, feel free to comment below.
FIGHT ON!
