The USC football team got a huge pickup last night as they received a verbal commitment from one of the top receivers in the country in Victor Blackwell, according to multiple reports.

The 6-1, 186 pound receiver from Mater Dei HS received a scholarship from USC over the weekend and I guess it was a great moment for him considering how fast he committed. Blackwell kept cool from sharing his thoughts about USC because he wanted to receive a scholarship first. Cal was thought to be the front runner on him, along with other PAC-10 teams and couple of teams from the South (South Carolina, Georgia).

Blackwell is a talented receiver recognized for his catching ability and speed. A very exciting player to watch, Blackwell is blessed to have the hands he has, catching anything that comes his way. I'm not sure what his vertical is measured at, but watching the video (see below) it must be up there as this guy is super athletic.

Now I hope we get that other SoCal star-studded receiver who attends a high school in Gardena, CA

USC now has commitments from QB Max Wittek, DE Jalen Grimble, and DT Antuwan Woods.
