It's been a rough weekend for the USC baseball team thus far after a heartbreaking 6-4 loss to Oklahoma State on Friday night followed by an embarrassing 10-1 defeat at the hands of Vanderbilt on Saturday. Today, the Trojans (3-3, 0-0) will look to salvage their weekend, as they wrap up the third and final game of the inaugural Dodgertown Classic with a nonconference matchup against No.17 UCLA (4-0, 0-0) at Dodger Stadium, which will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports Prime Ticket at 2:00 P.M. PST.

The contest should lean in the Bruins favor considering their strong start to the season as well as the fact that expectations aren't too high for USC after it was predicted to finish 8th in the conference's preseason media poll. While the basketball team exceeded its preseason expectations, nothing has indicated thus far that Chad Kreuter and company have the ability to do the same. But if the .500 Trojans are going to start making a run at the NCAA Tournament for the first time in Kreuter's tenure, then today's rivalry game with UCLA might be a good place to start. I'm just hoping for the best.

Fight On!
