USC vs. Washington Gameday Thread

No. 18 USC has a distinct advantage on the ground against Washington. They should be able to exploit that, right?

I generally shy away from making gameday predictions and other similar prognostications, because, well, I'm usually wrong. And to be perfectly honest, I don't like eating crow. It's never agreed with my taste buds, and I guess I'm conceited enough to attempt to avoid things that don't cast me in a positive light.

But for today's showdown against an unranked Washington team that still seems to be getting a fair amount of positive publicity, I'm making an exception. I think 'SC is going to win handily and rout the Huskies. Is this based on any empirical evidence? Of course not; it's sports. Yet, my lips are salivating, as the gameday clock continues the countdown 'till kickoff. No, seriously, I think this is going to end up as a blowout.

Washington doesn't have much of a rush defense, and 'SC's ground attack will take advantage of that. In fact, I'm not sure they have much of a defense in general.

But I digress. There's a mismatch in regards to USC's offensive line, versus the front seven of Washington, and in the end, that's going to be exploited. If you were going to put money on Allen Bradford getting "X" amount of yards, this would be the game to do it.

Furthermore, the Trojan offensive has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, the penalty issue has generally subsided, and well, a lot of the younger players such as Nickell Robey and Robert Woods have had breakout performances against Washington State and Minnesota.

if this team is going to do anything in 2010, it's going to have to show us something today.

This is the official pre-game, in-game and post-game thread.

FIGHT ON!
