According to the OCR USC'S last 4 games won't be on TV...so this is a formality, unless of course you have Trojan Access.
The Pac-10 really does have its work cut out if they are to market their product to get better exposure.
And in that piece Staff Writer Michael Lev makes a very good point...
Given Floyd’s regular campaigning for the conference, I was surprised he didn’t know that USC wouldn’t be on TV again until the Pac-10 Tournament.
“It’s not on the top of my priorities right now. It really isn’t. I was not even aware of it,” Floyd said. “At the end of the day, it won’t have anything to do with us getting into the NCAA Tournament.”
That’s not entirely true — as mentioned, ESPN = publicity — but it would depend entirely on the Trojans’ performance. If they continue to play like they did at the end of the Washington game, maybe not being on TV isn’t such a bad thing.
I have said that SC won't make the tournament based on their play but if they were truly on the bubble exposure on a national telecastcould push them over the top. Once again Hansen and his cronies fail to get into the 20th century, yes I said 20th because their "vision" is stuck in the 1800's
