It was probably mentioned elsewhere but the NCAA is moving kickoffs back to the 30-yard line. I'm not sure how I feel about it until our kicking situation is more solidified. But there is one person who plans to benefit from it...Rey Maualuga.

But an NCAA rules change really makes his eyes light up - the switch of kickoffs from the 35-yard line to the 30-yard line.
Ostensibly, it gives returning teams a better chance for a game-changing play, but the hard-hitting Maualuga sees a different benefit.
"On kickoffs, you've got more chances to go out there and hit the guys, cause some fumbles, cause some havoc," he said.
And that's basically what will be expected during the normal course of play from the middle linebacker, who started all but three games last year while splitting time with senior Oscar Lua.
This should be fun to watch as Rey gets up a little more steam to make some more hits like this:
