The LA Times has a short article providing an update on the status of recent LA - area college players as the deadline approaches for NFL teams to finalize their roster. You can read the details for yourself, but the upshot is that Steve Smith (New York Giants), Ryan Kalil (Carolina Panthers), and Dallas Sartz (Washington Redskins) all appear to be in good shape for getting roster slots. Dwayne Jarrett is currently looking at a backup WR spot in Carolina, and Oscar (Patriots) and Kyle Williams (Seattle Seahawks) are at least in with a shot. It blows my mind that one of the one of the Patriots linebackers that Lua has to compete with is Junior Seau, by the bye.
Good luck to the former Trojans on the bubble.
