After losing the series opener 5-4 SC came back to take the series against WSU this past weekend at Dedeaux Field.
On Saturday, SC won 9-5 as they got off to a fast start scoring 5 runs in the second inning.
Cook hit two WSU batters in the third as the Cougars loaded the bases, scoring two runs in the inning. After allowing just one run in the fourth, Cook threw three scoreless innings to improve to 6-2 on the season.

On Sunday, it was different story as SC had to battle to win the game and take the series 10-8.
The Trojans scored three runs in the eighth and battled back after allowing four runs in the top of the first.
Freshman Robert Stock (Westlake Village/Agoura HS) slowed down the Washington State offense by throwing a season-high 5 1/3 innings. He entered the game in the first after starter Tommy Milone allowed four runs and allowed just one run on three hits with three walks and six strikeouts.
USC (23-22, 6-9) is currently in seventh place in the Pac-10, but only 1 1/2 games back of Washington and Oregon State, who are tied for fourth place at 6-6, and one game behind California (7-8). Washington State is now 21-20 overall and 4-11 in conference.

USC Freshman Robert Stock was key in both wins as he got the rally going on Saturday with his RBI single in the 2nd inning and on Sunday he pitched 5 1/3 innings shutting down the Cougars bats. SC gets this week off before they head to Tucson to take on Arizona for a 3 game series starting May 12th.
