USC posted a win over Loyola Marymount this afternoon. The Trojans took the lead early with three runs in the second inning and also got a decent six inning's worth of pitching from sophomore Tommy Milone, with Paul Koss coming in for the save.
The Trojans might have scored more than another two runs (in the third and ninth innings) had they made anything of loading the bases in the fourth, but Loyola Marymount made a double play to get the side out with no runs. Much the same thing happened last weekend in one of the games against Long Beach State; hopefully they're working on it.
Next up is a three games series with San Diego, with Friday and Saturday games at Dedeaux Field and a Sunday away game. Results from all three will be posted hopefully late on Sunday.
