USC defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis, the Pacific 10 Conference's defensive player of the year, was selected to the 2007 AP All-America team, which was released this afternoon.
Two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up Darren McFadden of Arkansas was one of four players voted to the team for a second consecutive season. Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long, Louisiana State defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey and Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis were the others.
Other USC players named were Fred Davis Sam Baker and Lawrence Jackson on the 2nd team. Taylor Mays was selected to the third team.
