Here is this week's Conquest Chronicles Ballot for the Maxwell Pundit.
Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State: Another game, another win, another rout. Smith leads the Buckeyes to a thrashing of Minnesota. It going to get interesting as we get closer to the Michigan Game on Nov. 18th. Smith, instead of padding his own stats is now dishing it off to others on the team and letting them join in the fun.
Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia: The bye week should help give Slaton the rest he needs in the Mountaineers most important game so far this season. A strong effort against Louisville will go a long way to getting to the NC game in Glendale.
Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame: I know it was against Navy but Quinn had a great game throwing for 295 yards and 3 TD's. It's not his fault that most of his schedule is easier than most teams but he does his best to make the most out of it. He continues to tune up for the big game on against USC on Nov. 25th.
Graham Harrell, QB, Texas Tech: Every once in a while I look for really great performance regardless of the outcome the game or the overall impression of the player. Graham Harrell fits that role for me this week. Harrell went 42 for 62 and threw for 519 yards, 3 TD's and 1 int. WOW! I don't care who he was playing that is a great effort.
Colt McCoy, QB, Texas: I really like this kid and I have enjoyed watching play. He has really stepped up to fill the shoes of the great Vince Young. Yes, he didn't look great against Ohio State but he has continued to improve as the season has moved on. When Texas was down he kept them moving for ward and ultimately won the game. He is a gritty player.
