I thought I would do it a little different this week in explaining my BlogPoll Ballot.
With USC dropping a number of spots with their loss to Oregon St. things are getting a little more clear in where teams are positioned as the season moves forward. Ohio St. and Michigan are heading for their showdown on Nov. 18th with the winner heading to the BCS title game in Glendale. West Virginia and Louisville square off this Thursday and that will continue to make things interesting for the BCS in their attempt to match the best team against tOSU or UM. It is unlikely that Rutgers will finish undefeated with upcoming games against both Louisville and West Virginia. Boise St. will end up left out regardless of how much they dominate the remaining part of their schedule. Texas is the wild card. They are high enough to get noticed but is their SOS going to hold them back?
Florida and Auburn look like they are on a collision course to meet up in the SEC title game with Tennessee and Arkansas lurking to get into the picture. LSU holds firm this week but they will need a miracle to get to the big dance. Notre Dame continues its dominance of weaker teams as they tune up for the their game against USC in 4 weeks. Cal and Oregon are also gearing up to take a shot at USC and I'm sure they smell blood in the water but I wouldn't yet get my hopes up if I'm either of those two teams. They haven't been as convincing as some would have you believe. Oh, they can play no doubt but SC won't be easy pickins.
Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech all move up this week while Nebraska and Clemson disappoint. The bottom part of the ballot sees BC and aTm move up modestly with Wake breaking into my top 25 for the first time and VA Tech getting back in with their win over Clemson. There is still a lot of football to be played boys and girls and anything can happen but one thing is for sure the BCS could be in for a wild ride.
