Looks like our most likely opponents are going to be ASU, UCLA, and Stanford/WSU if we are going to win this thing.  Of course the Pac-10 Tournament always has at least one big upset every time.  Who will it be this year.

I like the bracket that we are in.  We get a chance to play a 3rd game against the Sun Devils, and if we win, we get another shot at the bruins.  It should be an exciting 3 days.  I usually don't buy the whole tournament ticket package, but I might this year because all the matchups look pretty good.  Except for the poor Beavers.  I feel sorry for those kids, they had a tough year.

Well
If they win the next 11 games they are the National Champions.  It's not all bad.

Beavers 2007 National Champs
That would be akin to the USA Hockey team in 1980 in the miracle department.

Actually...
I think it would surpass even the Miracle on Ice - at least the guys on the hockey team had some quality wins under the belts going into that game.

Its all an elaborate scheme
The Beavers have thrown all 18 Pac-10 games in order to bet on themselves in Vegas to win the NC.  They start playing for real and blow everyone out in 11 straight games and collect on their 20000-1 bets.  Pure genius.

And then...

Speaking of wild
The last game of the year for over half of the conference was a wild one.

USC upsets Stanford.

ucla has a exciting comeback victory against Cal which was fairly miraculous.

WSU ties for 3rd place after defeating Washington in double overtime.

Those were 3 great games.  The top teams in the conference were all struggling with the lower ones.  I don't think any matchup in the whole tournament, except for AZ vs OSU, is a easy win for the higher seeded team.

Good luck to all the Pac.  See you on Wednesday.

Rematch
Here's the big rematch you Trojan fans have been waiting for.  Maybe they won't hack the Devils everytime down the court this time.

We really need this one more than you do, so maybe for the sake of the Pac-10, you will just let us win?

On a side note...is that for real that Mayo is coming back?  Harden v Mayo for another year...gotta love that matchup.

Or...
maybe if the game turns physical again (on both sides), the refs won't decide to make the overwhelming number of calls against one team.

Good luck Thursday.

You wont get any help from us
But it should be a fun game.  Its not actually a neutral site since its about a mile away from USC's campus, but its as close as it will get.  I don't think anyone here is looking past the Sun Devils.  I think you guys will still make the big show even if you lose.
