Hackett showed guts...

...playing with foul trouble most of the game and still delivering a very solid all-around effort. His stat line reads 6pts, 8 asts, 5 rebs, but it doesn't show his toughness and leadership.

I shoulda said this a few days ago

but congrats. To beat us on our home floor took a lot of guts and a lot of heart. What a great win for the SC program and the Pac-10.

Hopefully things'll be different at the galen center :P

I was in Toulouse, France for a week, came back home last night and found out that:

USC wins at Pauley
Norm Chow DOES take the OC position at fucla

Game on.

* last Tuesday I wagered $250 for usc +3 vs. fucla. my winnings practically paid for my trip. who'da thunk?

I got lucky

And I'm not really a gambling-kinda-guy. Just a knucklehead Trojan who has too much faith Floyd and Carroll. Way too much.

The game in the Galen Center is gonna be a riot. Mayhem. Bedlam.

As it looks now, BenBall is P-I-S-S-E-D! I'm not putting my faith in a repeat of last weekend.

Besides, gambling is such an unattractive quality.

Don't bet at all frak! Gambling is a clinically diagnosed addiction, if it becomes out of hand. And this is coming from a very unremarkable and foolish wager-er! When and if I get a hankerin' for being profligate with what little disposable money I may/may not have, it's ALWAYS for the wrong reasons.

That being said, there's still a month's worth of games to be played. The way the stars were aligned for this past weekend's game, I "had a feeling" USC would come out on top. I just got lucky. The stars might not be aligned as such for the next crosstown game.

I formally request to "unsubscribe" from the "help spend frak's money" discussion. Hey! I went to C & A Trattoria in Marina Del Rey a few weeks ago. It was the best $120 bucks I spent on a dinner for two in a LONG LONG LONG time! And that includes 2 fantastic bottles of wine (J. Lohr 2003 Cabs- awesome!) Take your special someone there instead.

whatever the spread is. Its all your fault if I lose. If I do lose, I can always double my next bet to win it all back. Its my new exponential betting system.

After! After I unsubscribed, you put forth your fuzzy-math theorem. In it, it didn't ever say:

place bet
lose bet
get tapout to cough up loss
use coughed-up monies from tapout to place another bet
exponentially win (hopefully?)

It just said, win or lose- place another bet- hopefully win exponentially (or something to that effect?)

BTW: I live close to, but not near, and on this side of the tracks of planet Mydelusionalmind. It's also the name of my band. I play air-bass. I have a very strange dog, so- beware. (pssst! he's a human-whisperer. quite charming he is. before he mauls!!!!)

I just realized

Ben Howland is now 5-4 against USC. Tim Floyd is 2-3 against ucla. I would like to see both coaches pull to .500 after the game at Galen Center. Now that some of the luster has dulled on "BenBall", I like our chances to make this happen.
