tOSU has been officially jinxed by the 4-letter network
ESPN's Championship Series has picked Ohio State over USC in their mock championship game. Even Mark May is picking tOSU. With all the love he showed SC last year this clearly shows that the apocalypse is upon us.
While I was never a fan of all the USC hype last year I understood where it was coming from. With SC coming off of an undefeated season culminating in a National Championship over OU the table was set for an exciting year. Of course, ESPN blew it out of proportion with their greatest team ever series.
This year there is no clear-cut choice as to who will be out in front of the pack. The top teams have too many questions to clearly separate themselves from each other. It's very possible that all the top teams could all have one loss leaving a huge mess for the BCS to sort through by the end of the season.
Now, I understand that this exercise in futility is all for the sake of ratings but it's enough to make me sick. Can we at least some of these teams play a few games before we start matching them up for the BCS?

Is there a reason why these gentleman looked spooked? Maybe it's because they don't have a clue.

Kyle counters here and here ,but I think you can see a pattern. There is certain amount of laziness over at the 4-letter network.

I doubt hyping OSU has anything to do with TV...
It was a fun exercise, it doesn't really matter and everyone can start worrying about the season in six days.

Maybe, maybe not
They have lost alot on the defense so I'm interested as to how they rate a #1 ranking. Offense is flash but defense wins championships.
Their offense is first rate but they have taken heavy losses on the other side of the ball.
My whole point with the post as with others I have put up is that I would like to see these teams, SC, UT and ND included, play a game or two before annoiting them as this years best.
Of course the opens up another Pandora's box. Pre-Season Polls.
