MaxwellPundit for Week 5

Here is the Conquest Chronicles MaxwellPundit Ballot for Week #5

Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State: Smith throws 4 TD's, no INT's in another impressive win on the road this time against Iowa. This was a game, after Texas, that I thought could be difficult for the Buckeyes to win but no worries Smith just keeps them chugging along.

Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech: Is it fair to say that he torched the Hokies? I think so. With 6 catches for 115 yards and 2 TD's at Blacksburg, Johnson is clearly becoming one of the best receivers in college football.

CJ Going High in the Sky

Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan: Manningham continues to make play's as he is becoming one of the best WR's of the Big Ten. He is going to be a very big part of the Michigan Offense when they play Ohio State at the end of the season.

John David Booty, QB, USC: While is wasn't a dominating win; Booty continues to keep his cool and make the adjustments needed. His 90-plus yard drive in the second half ate up the clock as he drove SC down for a TD. His new best friend, WR Steve Smith made some great catches that helped SC seal the victory.

Steve Smith, WR, USC: This Mr. Smith doesn't always get the credit he deserves. I don't think anyone was lulled into thinking that Booty WASN'T going to throw to him. He made his presence felt often, especially on a catch over the middle that got his bell rung. He held on to the ball for a first down that kept that long drive alive and resulted in a TD catch by Smith. Homer Pick? You Bet!
