Well, what do I do here anyway?

First off, we'd like you to stick around and read our blog posts. We like to think they're insightful. Furthermore, we'd love for you to become an even more active participant by commenting and posting FanPosts and FanShots.

But what is a FanPost?A FanShot?

FanPosts are essentially front page stories of at least 75 words written by readers as opposed to the editors. If you have an itch to post your two-cents about Mike Garrett, Lane Kiffin, or player X, this is the place to do it. Once that's done, you are able to keep the top FanPosts on the list longer by recommending them by using the "Rec" link at the bottom of the particular post. In turn, five recommendations will place the FanPost atop the rec list. On the other hand, FanShots are quick posts, links to articles, images, or videos from around the blogosphere.  

When should I post this stuff?

In all honesty, if you find a link, a quote, a photo, or a video, around the internet that you think your fellow readers will enjoy, go ahead and post it. Don't be shy. If you're going to provide commentary to the link, photo, etc., than post it as a FanPost. If not, than just add it as a FanShot.
