The entire team gathered for the first 6:30 a.m. team run of the summer Friday morning, when the strength and conditioning staff led a 45-minute high-intensity workout on Cromwell Field.

Pete Carroll WOWS them....
Arizona DE recruits in demand:
Phoenix Desert Vista's Devon Kennard and Scottsdale Chaparral's Craig Roh hope to have their top 10 college football choices in a week. The defensive ends, rated among the nation's best prospects, figure to have Southern California in their list. Both are planning to attend the USC Rising Stars Camp at the end of the month. They were both wowed by USC coach Pete Carroll on unofficial visits this spring. Kennard, 6-4, 257, rated the No.1 player at his position in the country by Rivals.com, said that he has made unofficial visits to USC, UCLA, Arizona State and Texas.

Virginia game time set!
USC’s Aug. 30 game at Virginia will kick off at 12:30 Pacific time and be carried on ABC.
That means that two of the seven game times that have been announced so far are day games (UCLA is the other).
Apparently, TV money trumps tradition.
Well, I like this better than a 8pm start!
Its on!! - USC and UCLA tied after NCAA golf 1st round
UCLA's Kevin Chappell shot a 3-under-par 69 on Wednesday and the Bruins were tied with rival Southern California after the first round of the NCAA men's Division I golf championship.
Oklahoma State was one stroke back at 298, and Clemson and Kent State were tied for fourth at 301 on the 7,450-yard Kampen Course at Purdue's Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
Defending champion Stanford, which last year won its first title since 1994, was tied for 12th at 309.
USC's Tim Sluiter and Kent State's David Markle were both one stroke behind Chappell and they were the only players to break par. Three others were at 72.
Southern Cal's Jamie Lovemark, the medalist last year, was at 7-over 79.
