Three-Star OT Roy Hemsley Commits To USC

Add another big building block in the 2015 class.

In a back-and-forth battle with UCLA, USC ultimately picked up the commitment of talented Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward offensive tackle Roy Hemsley, who stands in as the No. 21 offensive tackle in the upcoming 2015 class.

The 6-6, 285 pound offensive tackle right within our Southern California borders is the second offensive tackle prospect to commit in the class, along with four-star offensive lineman Chuma Edoga out of Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern.

Hemsley, the No. 5 commitment in USC's 2015 class, was swung by the strong recruiting efforts from Tim Drevno and especially Tee Martin for his future services. Add another weapon for coach Tim Drevno to mold on the offensive line, and Hemsley believes USC can make him great in the long run both academically and athletically under his tutelage.

"It has been a difficult decision to make," Hemsley said in a statement released by his Windward High School. "But I feel that USC is the best fit and is the right college for me to continue my studies and to grow as a football player."

In terms of USC's future up front on the offensive line, Hemsley and Edoga will most likely come next Fall working alongside up-and-coming talents Jordan Austin (EE), Toa Lobendahn (EE), Chris Brown and Damien Mama from this current freshman class.

Add Hemsley to the likes of quarterbacks Davis Sills and Ricky Town as well as cornerback Taeon Mason in the Trojans updated 2015 committed recruiting class. The Trojans have dished out nearly 100 offers for the 2015, so with the fully loaded 25-man class, expect many more names to declare USC throughout the summer and into fall.
