Check out Dorton officially sporting the cardinal and gold at St. John Bosco, where nine players made official announcements about their collegiate futures and signed National Letters of Intent.
Dorton is the 19th-ranked OLB/DE and the 45th-ranked prospect overall in California according to 247sports' composite rankings, joining junior college transfer Claudeson Pelon as well as defensive end/linebackers Olajuwon Tucker, Uchenna Nwosu and Don Hill, who could end up on the defensive line from the 2014 recruiting class.
While he was rated a three-star prospect by three of the recruiting services, ESPN has Malik Dorton as a four-star prospect and a member of its ESPN300.
This past season, Dorton had 66 tackles and five sacks for undefeated St. John Bosco, the No. 1-ranked team in California and was named member of the all-Southern Section Pac-5 Division team.
After committing under former head coach Lane Kiffin (recruited by Ed Orgeron), Dorton was rumored to be leaning away for some time, much like Bosco teammate and now Colorado commit Shay Fields, but wound up staying with the cardinal and gold.

What does the Sark Say: "He is a real leader. He was the captain of a national championship winning team in high school. Physically, he is going to grow into a big body and be a factor for us."
Check out some of Dorton's highlights from this past summer, competing with some of the best and brightest recruits at the 2014 Nike Football Training Camp.
