USC basketball leading scorer and rebounder Byron Wesley did not make the team's road trip to the Bay Area. He has been suspended for the ubiquitous "violation of team rules."

The Trojans' most important player will not take the court at Stanford tonight or on Sunday at Cal as the team tries to snap a 6-game losing streak.
This will be the second and third straight games USC will be without one of its starters. Pe'Shon Howard sat out Sunday at home against Colorado after he was suspended for a violation of team rules (see it's always used). After Sunday's 83-74 loss to the Buffaloes, head coach Andy Enfield said he expected Howard to be back this week, but he did not make any promises.
Wesley has averaged 17.6 points per game and 6.9 rebounds this season. He has scored 18 or more points in six straight games.
With Byron Wesley out of the lineup, the Trojans will need seniors Howard, J.T. Terrell and Omar Oraby to step up and play to the potential they have yet to live up to this season.
