The Trojans are out on the field, working hard for the start of the home opener. In the midst of stretching and final preparations, players don traditional white socks and black shoes on the field. Here are some of the latest injury updates before the start of the game, in front of an ever-growing crowd of Cardinal and Gold at the Coliseum.
USC RB Silas Redd, CB Anthony Brown and DL JR Tavai are all in warmup gear and not playing today.

J.R. Tavai and Greg Townsend are not expected to play tonight, according to recent updates from Joe Schad along with the early injuries mentioned by USC Athletics. This opening contest will feature more than 55 scholarship players in the lineup that traveled on the road against Hawaii, yet key cogs remained sidelined with injury.
With Cody Kessler expected to be named as the starter, the Trojans wide receivers look fluid running routes nearly 45 minutes before the start of the game. Su'a Cravens and Dion Bailey look rather lively and energetic working with the Trojans secondary, while Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick, Xavier Grimble and Randall Telfer are all healthy at this point.
It's time to strap it up and get this game off and running from the Coliseum, Trojans and Cougars on Fox Sports 1. Just one more note for fun, newly converted No. 6 Josh Shaw is wearing a white armband around his right arm, just a week after returning the first pick-six of the season for the Trojans aggressive "52" defense.
UPDATE: 7:12 p.m.
Morgan Breslin is back in the starting lineup after missing the Hawaii game.
