USC Lands Quarterback Chris Willson

Quarterbacks are naturally drawn to USC, I mean who wouldn't be? We are one of the most storied programs in the nation, we are L.A.'s team, and we have a track record for great quarterbacks. Not many have heard but the Trojans will add a new face to our young and talented quarterback arsenal, Chris Willson. Who? Yes, Chris Willson will be playing for the Trojans this fall after impressing Lane Kiffin enough to land a spot on the team.

Willson is a transfer coming out of Wake Forest, and he does not lack athleticism. He's a big boy at 6-6 225lbs and he was a pitcher for two years with the Demon Deacons. He appeared in 12 games for the Wake Forest baseball team although he did have nagging back problems, but that all should be okay now as he completed his physical on Friday, June 28th. Now how did a Wake Forest pitcher become a USC quarterback? Well it's rather simple when you have a phenomenal athlete who has a rocket arm. He was originally going to compete for the Wake Forest position after football coaches couldn't help themselves and decided to give him a shot, but he worked out for Lane Kiffin and it clearly went well for the kid. I've personally seen and worked out with Willson and he has loads of potential. It's rare to see such a raw athlete like him and I am excited to see what can happen with some USC coaching. He can throw the ball 70 plus yards, but what might be even better is he is smart with the ball and understands the game. I think he can seriously compete for the spot, if not this year then the up coming years as he will only be a redshirt sophomore. Keep your eye out for Willson because you will be hearing his name rather soon.
