Under Pendergast's leadership, Cal had the No. 1 defense in the PAC-12 in 2010 and 2011. He also helped lead the Arizona Cardinals to the first Super Bowl in franchise history.
I suppose it may fit since SC was looking to changing the 4-3/3-4 defense to better combat spread offenses. My hope is that he does better than he did at Cal. Now if LK can stay out of his business, perhaps then we'll have much better stopping power.
