Guess what? The Trojans are playing a Thursday home game
This is what happens when you're in a conference that believes weekday games give you "visibility."
USC will be playing a Thursday home game on October 10 against Arizona, the first non-Thanksgiving weekday home game in school history. This is because of the new Pac-12 Network deal in which every team plays a conference game on a weekday. Tailgaters will not be happy about that.
Granted, one of the weekday games is the result of a request from the athletic dept. The season opener at Hawaii was supposed to be on a Saturday, but got moved to Thursday, August 29. The other weekday road game is at Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 1.
The homecoming game is against Stanford, four years removed from "What's Your Deal" and the "tribute" to Joe Francis. The rivalry games are in their usual spots.
