Steven Johnson Wins Second NCAA Singles Championship in a Row

Yes the seven time all-american comes back from the pro tour to help win a 4th team championship in a row (only USC has done it twice) and the his 2nd singles crown. Today he took on Eric Quigley of Kentucky and won his 72nd singles match in a row with a 6-4, 6-4, featuring two players that only drop one set in five rounds. Considering that Steve won two challenger series tournaments in 5 months to a ranking in the top 300 in the world, to come back to college tennis says a lot for the Trojan senior. With this win he will get a automatic bid to the US Open, without having to play Qualifying for the second year in a row. Last year he lost a five set match to Alex Bogomolov (#46 ATP) which could have gone ether way, hopefully he gets past that this year. Here is a couple of very enlightening videos they will tell a hidden story of Steven's run. Enjoy
