TMZ Sports and ABC10 in San Diego are reporting that the Oceanside Police have responded to reports of a gunshot at Junior Seau's house. TMZ is relaying unofficial reports that Seau is dead, ABC10 isn't ready to go there.

UPDATE: TMZ and Channel 10 News are both publishing that, based on a local witness, Seau has killed himself. TMZ is reporting further that Seau shot himself in the chest, in the same fashion as former NFL player Dave Duerson who wanted to ensure his brain could be examined for signs of long term damage from playing football.
