ESPN signed a multi-year deal with USC for the radio broadcast rights for USC's home games.
USC announced Monday that it has reached a multiyear deal with ESPN Radio to broadcast all of the Trojans' home games nationally.
This is only the second national radio deal in college football -- Notre Dame and IMG have a similar relationship -- and the first of its kind for ESPN Radio.
The multiyear deal also provides Spanish-language rights for ESPN Deportes Radio in the Los Angeles market.
"To partner with ESPN Radio and have the USC brand distributed at this level is a fantastic opportunity to reach Trojan fans throughout the nation," USC athletic director Pat Haden said in a prepared statement. "It is also immensely important that we will be able to reach our Hispanic fan base throughout Southern California with ESPN Deportes."
That is pretty cool!
It just shows that USC still moves the needle even in these times of the NCAA's draconian sanctions.
I just hope that he games can be heard on the ESPN radio app for when I am on the road.
Good times!!
