USC Trojan netters win 19th & 20th Victories for 40 in a row.

On monday USC beat Boise State 6-1 and today they beat Washington 7-0 in Seattle, to keep the winning streak going. Playing with a short squad against BSU they got out to a 4-0 lead then finished off the Broncos to get their 19th win on the year. After that match they headed to Washington for Pac-12 play and caged the Huskies in the great white north. Against the Huskies the Trojans ripped thru the Doubles then Daniel Nguyen took the first singles match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at #3 singles. Then Trojan sophomores Ray Sarmiento and Emilio Gomez ground out straight set victories 6-4, 6-3 & 6-0, 7-6 respectively at #2 & #5 singles to clinched the match. Roberto Quiroz, Steve Johnson and Yannick Hanfmann rounded out the singles for the 7-0 and 20th win for the season. Up next is Oregon in Nikeville tomorrow going for coach Peter Smiths 200th victory.
