Men's Swimming finishes 7th at NCAA Championships
For the second year in a row, USC Men's Swimming finished in 7th place at the national championships, earning 192 points. Cal successfully defended their title with 535.5 points. Three USC swimmers notched second place finishes in freestyle competitions. In the 50y free sprint, sophomore Vladimir Morozov finished with a time of 19.08, losing at the wall to Texas senior James Feigen by only 0.07 seconds. In another heartbreaker, freshman Cristian Quintero lost in the 500y free by 0.12 seconds to Georgia's Martin Grodzki. Quintero posted a time of 4:13.07. Later, in the 200y free, sophomore Dimitri Colupaev set a school record with a time of 1:32.91. Texas junior Daxon Hill passed Colupaev in the final 25 meters and won by 0.4 seconds.
