Bruce Feldman wrote an interesting article about the role of Twitter and other forms of social media on college athletes, and he used Matt Barkley and Khaled Holmes as the feature examples. Holmes is currently working on a masters' degree in social marketing, and Barkley has the second most followers on Twitter of all college athletes. It's a really good read that shows all the pros and cons that these two have experienced with Twitter, particularly a picture Matt posted of him and his girlfriend on Valentines' Day that ended up on Yahoo Sports.
