USC Women beat UCLA 66 - 54 for the season sweep
USC's women's basketball team beat UCLA today at the Galen Center, giving them the season sweep over the Bruins. USC went into half time with a 35 - 31 advantage, at one point had a 23 point lead in the second half, and held on after a late Bruin rally to finish out 66 - 54.
Standout performances for the Trojans today came from Cassie Harberts, who scored 20 points, and Briana Gilbreath, who got a double-double (I apologize if that's not the correct phrasing, I'm no basketball guru...).
USCTrojans.com recap. - includes a brief interview with Briana Gilbreath after the game.
Next up, the women's team host the Arizona teams, playing Arizona on Thursday 2/23 and Arizona State on Saturday 2/25.

Glad for the ucla sweep.
It was pretty good game in person. I have to say the women never let up on their intensity and quieted-down the bRuins fans in attendance. The SC supporters could have been more vocal! But more absent were students…. were they all hung-over? They were the painted chest "Women of Troy" group in the student section but little more. The Women’s team deserves better support.
