Zach Banner chooses USC

Not exactly the best kept secret...

USC added a very large man to its offensive line on Monday afternoon.

Five-star, 6-foot-8, 295-pound offensive lineman Zach Banner announced on Monday that he has committed to USC. Obviously, this is big news for the Trojans both literally and figuratively, as Banner is one of the most coveted offensive lineman prospects in the country.

I will feel better when the LOI is actually signed and in the file, but either way, this kid is beast.

The more help on the O-line the better.

There is still a lot more work to do before signing day, but Lane Kiffin continues to pull in top talent. Kiffin won't get them all, especially with the sanctions, but it is hard to deny that this staff still has the magic touch.

Yes we can't play in a Bowl and that is lucky for the rest of College FB' but next year we at USC will dominate.

Our RB's are going to run wild behind Kiffin's towering ramparts.

Zach Banner just sounds like a Trojan

I’ve had a good feeling about our O-line prospects this year.

And we have some nice LB’s with a strong lean too.

Plus I think Scott Star and Jabari can play FB-RB

+1 good point

I am thinking that Nelson plays RB this fall. Tre is a good backup plan too.

Great Pick-up for your guys

Texas fan here but I volunteered at the US Army combine and had a chance to meet him. Seems to have a great head on his shoulders and as a Texas fan, I did try to put in a good word for you guys (no OU).

My entire family is from Texas

And 90% of them went to UT.

Thanks for sending him our way, even if it’s probably a violation lol.

Fight On! Beat everybody but us!

Just noticed that banner is listed as a center in the 2012 basketball recruits

Only thing is will he get to play, he is one big guy and could truely clog the middle and also intimidate guards.

Yes we can't play in a Bowl and that is lucky for the rest of College FB' but next year we at USC will dominate.

I can only see one downside

He’d be permanently injured. I think we need him healthy for football ;)

I got tired of waiting because I found out there's only a fine line between biding one's time and wasting one's time.

This is a huge miss for UW. His biological father was former UW All American

and NFL Pro-bowler Lincoln Kennedy. Local media is spinning this as a snub of his estranged father.
