Thomas declares for NFL Draft
USC's main roadblock for 2012 (besides complacency) just got a little weaker.
While I realize that Oregon's game relies little on stellar QB play, DT was a going to be senior leader at QB. At the Coliseum, he would be far less frazzled then a sophomore in his first game in a huge moment.
I guess the biggest question for DT is WHY? But that asked, good luck to him in the NFL or CFL.

This is MASSIVE.
They will still have DAT, who can ring up a TD at any given moment, but man does this weaken the Ducks’ offense. USC is now the clear conference favorite. They just can’t lose focus in all the hype.

Ducks fans seem to be pretty big on Thomas' backup
And its not like the Ducks suffered heavily last time they lost their starting QB unexpectedly.
To improve, they should try to become the musical southern cal of the west. - bRuins Nation poster on the Stanford band.
Yea Bryan Bennett is not bad....
But still have to come and play at the Coli…..

Homie needed to get paid!
And, NOW yo!
Besides, if he and Harris are going to continue tokin’-out and shit- the man needed some “seed money” . . . .ahem. Brotha’s going to be “ballin’” carrying around a clipboard and warming NFL benches.
If I was going to get paid millions being a Harrington-type back-up forever. . . . .hell! I’d do it now too! Why wait until TJ MacDonald takes out my knees?
I just hope this young man hires himself a chaffeur, because those “athletes” in Eugene sure as hell should NOT BE driving. They ain’t good at it, or. . . . .they fit an easy profile for law enforcement. Either, or? He’ll be getting his fair share, so he should do himself a favor and just hire someone’s ass to scoot him around town.
Good luck DT. You’re going to need it!
Maybe DT
knows what’s coming down the pike from the ncFn2a.

I watched Bennett play some this year
there will not be a huge drop off next year, particularly by the time the Ducks come down to LA.
Thomas was a mediocre passer under any kind of pressure, so this Bennett kid may even be an improvement. It really depends on if they get any better WR play, which was a real weakness for them last year while they were redshirting a bunch of guys.
I didn't mean pressure by the defense
I meant two 9-0 teams playing in the Coliseum with Pac-12 championship HFA on the line and Oregon’s national championship on the line (USC can recover from 1 loss, Oregon cannot with that OOC).

I thought Barner might leave.
He is a year or two older than most players in his class as I recall. This seems like a bad decision by Thomas… he will be lucky to ever throw a pass in the NFL.

Best move for him he will not get any better
his replacement is actually pretty good…Oregon will be fine.
USC just needs to worry about its own thing…

Yes this------I really don't feel who they have at QB matters since it is a gimmick offense
Any 3 star QB works for Chip most 4-5 stars don’t go to Oregon——why because they what to have a career in the NFL as a QB and not a RB or bench player. They will get exposed in the NFL as we saw this last weekend when New England took apart Tim Tebow—Bayless.
Yes we can't play in a Bowl and that is lucky for the rest of College FB' but next year we at USC will dominate.
