The NCAA would tell you it’s pointless to compare the cases, because no two are alike. Yet, in its infractions report released Tuesday, the NCAA did that very thing.
In discussing the rationale for penalizing Boise State for providing housing and transportation to incoming student-athletes before they enrolled so they could participate in summer workouts, the NCAA cited a 2007 case involving West Virginia and a 2006 case involving Kansas.
So, apparently, case precedent is applicable when it’s convenient for the NCAA – but means absolutely nothing when appealing a ruling. Great system, eh?

Sorry to say but Haden really needs to call them on this
and I don’t mean just PR release, I mean a real phone call. This is complete BS.
I have come to realization a long time ago of the hatred for USC!!
It’s like the Yankees, you either love’em or despise them & there is no middle ground. So us SC fans will continue to see countless incidences where we can blatantly see the NCAA BS. But they will not EVER admit their wrongdoing in the SC case. So unfortuately we must move on. I have for one!!
Niners,Nets,Reds & USC!!!
The Most Interesting Man In The World---->Mikhail Prokhorov!!!
The fix was in; we were made an example of
in the hopes of “deterring” other schools from violating rules. It’s sickening and unfortunate, but a reality – and there’s nothing that we can do about it.
We were made an example of.
And we’re one of those teams that if you aren’t a fan, you hate us. Obviously so does the NCAA.
I'm gonna call him "Ort" cuz he's never on.
