Lane Kiffin made it very clear today that Marc Tyler practicing with the team is in no way an indicator that he will back on the playing field anytime soon...

"It's the next step in the process of Marc hopefully coming back," Kiffin said after Wednesday's practice, which Tyler left after roughly two hours to attend class. "This isn't a major step -- he's not cleared for the second game -- this was just something that we had in place as he goes through this process.

This really isn't unexpected.

If Tyler is reinstated to full duties with the team he needs to be in some semblance of "game ready".

We still haven't heard the final resolution of Tyler's appearance of the student judiciary so it is entirely possible that Kiffin is waiting for some resolution there before making any other moves.
