Patrick Hall out for the year with a torn ACL
This has been on the boards for a few days but I wanted to get some confirmation before running with this.
University of Southern California defensive back Patrick Hall will undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee later this month, he confirmed Thursday.
Hall, a redshirt freshman, suffered the injury on a fluke fall after an interception on the final play of a players-only summer throwing session two weeks ago. He immediately sensed he had torn the ligament but went to a doctor to validate his suspicions, then visited a university doctor Thursday to confirm the results of an earlier MRI and schedule the surgery for June 30.
"I knew it was the ACL because of the swelling," Hall said Thursday. "I was hopeful it was just a tweak but I knew it was the ACL."
He will miss the entire 2011 season.
This is a tough break for this kid.
But it sounds like he has a great attitude!

Well I know this guy will come back, but the positive thing is that he will have no problem in the class room since he has had more time than most to apply himself.
In fact I feel that freshman shouldn’t be able to complete in FB and BB, this way they can get going in the class room and adjust to college life. This would also take care of the one and done rule in BB.
Who--What--Slim Shady----the ncaa is after all the BS they are lying out----and just remember they will rewrite history every seven years after the fact.
