I did not agree with all of Christopher's initiatives while he was Secretary of State. But there was no question he left his mark on both the international community and the Los Angeles community.
There is no question that he was a tremendous public servant.
Regardless of whether or not you agreed with the positions of the administrations that he served in, he was a consummate professional. He didn't seek the spotlight like his successor, nor did he think he was bigger than the job like some of his fellow Secretaries did.
Christopher was one of those behind the scenes public servants that made the people he worked for look better than they really were...
