Along with 5 other american college players Jarmere Jenkins (Virginia), Will Spencer (Georgia), Beatrice Capra (Duke), Jacqueline Cako (ASU) and Lauren Embree (Florida) went to France to compete. The draw consisted of 8 teams from France, Spain, Germany, China, Belgium, Great Britain, Ireland and the US, matches were 2 mens 2womens singles and one each doubles and a mix doubles. First the US faced off with germany winning 6-1 Nguyen won at #1 singles 6-2, 6-1, but losing at doubles 8-3 with Jenkins. Next up was belgium the US winning 7-0, Nguyen playing doubles winning 8-2 with Spencer and 8-1 with Jacqueline Cako in mixed. In the final the US faced off with host France winning 4-3, after being down 3-1 after the 4 singles matches. First the team of Capra and Embree won 7-5, 6-0 in womens doubles, then Nguyen and Jenkins won 6-3, 6-3 in mens doubles. This left the mixed with Danny and Cako playing again and pulling out a 6-4, 6-1 win to take the title for the second time in 3 years. Here is a video with team captain Greg Patton Bosie State
