NCAA says yes to UCLA Bowl Bid at potential 6-7 record

Associated Press is reporting that the NCAA has approved the UCLA bowl bid with a potential losing record if they lose against Oregon on Friday night.

Yes, that's right sports fans, on the heels of UCLA's loss against the USC Trojans 50-0, UCLA's brainiac AD fires the Head Coach, then appeals to the NCAA for a bowl bid. What is even more amazing is that the NCAA, PRIOR TO THE PAC-12 extra game, approves UCLA for a bowl bid, while Stanford University at number 4 in the BCS and AP Top 25 does not get to play at all. Amazing isn't it? Stanford gets no shot at the Rose Bowl and instead will need a different bowl game, while UCLA gets special attention and entry with a potential losing record.

Get a load of the excuse of the UCLA AD: "UCLA has reached just one bowl game in the past three seasons, and athletic director Dan Guerrero says he wants to reward the Bruins' 18 seniors by going to a bowl even while the program is in upheaval."

Yeah, I'd like to see our seniors get rewarded too. May be we should put in for a NCAA waiver on their sanctions which are costing the USC program and the PAC-12 heavy money on Friday night.

Speaking of PAC-12 honoring the title of CHAMPIONS on USC, where are the PAC-12 South Division Champions shirts at the PAC-12 store?

You can sanction the game, but you can't sanction the scoreboard.

UCLA gets a bowl game... they could end up the first 6-8 school in PAC-12 history! Yeah, that some "honor" Dan. That's what makes you so special Dan, use the players as an excuse to get some more money for you and the program from that Bowl appearance. Makes me wonder if you'll be wearing white uniforms up in Oregon or for that Bowl game also.

UCLA...all I can say is WOW.
