At the ITA indoor championships Freshman Zoe Scandlis won her 1st round match against Notre Dames Kristy Frilling 6-4, 6-3, next up is #1 Jana Juricova of Cal. If she beats Jana she will have beaten the #1 singles player in college tennis. USCs Danielle Lao def. Bianca Sanon 6-3, 6-2 and will face Nicole Gibbs of stanford the #2 seed, unfortunately Sabrina Santamarialost in the first round. 

On the mens side both Daniel Nguyen and Ray Sarmiento lost their matches, but over at the southern cal intercollegiate championships at ucla both Yannick Hanfmann and Emilo Gomez won their first round matches. Hanfmann has made it to the Quarterfinals with Emilo losing in the second round.
