CC Rules Reminder

I have enjoyed all the interaction of late.
Things are humming along with a number of new members doing some great contributing, while our more established members continue to be the foundation of Conquest Chronicles.
But we need to keep things above board.
I realize it has been intriguing to watch Rome burn across town...but we need to keep it respectful here.
We cannot name call any mod on any other SBN site. While I tend to want people to have their say, there are some rules that need to be followed....I am pretty flexible in the comments, but I can't have a Fanpost or Fanshot calling out a specific person who mods another site, regardless of site.
Those are the rules...
Yes, I know that some other sites say nasty things about us, but I am pretty thick skinned. I can take care of myself and don't need to run to the bosses when someone bashes me or CC.
But, while I am secure in who we are and what we are about I can't control others actions or motivations.
So, to keep the peace, and my inbox and cellphone from exploding, I will delete any Fanpost or Fanshot like I described above.
I agree the circus across town has been interesting to watch, but I don't want the circus in my back yard...or getting in the way of keeping things moving along here.
Feel free to comment or post on what you are observing...just don't name call any mod from any site in the process.

After all the taunts during the sanction season, I just got carried away and went on a taunting spree on BN, and I forgot the CC rules. I shouldn’t have put up that FanShot.
Hmmm…maybe I should detox. Maybe I should step off from all football and UCLA news for a week or two. A “self-imposed sanction,” if you will.

I wrote a fanshot about Nestor boasting about the record hits BN has gotten this month.
And I suggested that the numbers may be inflated not by Bruins fans but by outsiders logging on to get some lulz from all the drama, petitions, and open letters to Chancellor Block and the UC Regents. And I may or may not have used an analogy involving the fascination of abomination that comes with watching crazy monkeys in a cage throwing their excrement.

The last thing he said to me was at a post game concert while I was in school
I had already been kicked out of the band.
He stopped the band, and a mostly quiet crowd was treated to Art screaming “ASSHOLE….ASSHOLE…..ASSHOLE…..ASSHOLE…..” at me for about 10 seconds. I flipped him off and went about my business.
Recently a few years ago I was horrified to see that he was sitting behind me at the Pac-10 Basketball Tournament at Staples. He started to talk to me, to try to drum up a conversation. I explained to him that I was at the game with my dad and didn’t want to talk to him as I found him to be repugnant.
Some may wonder why I dislike Art so much. Well…. he is a great band leader, but I think he is a pretty awful person. I haven’t nor will I donate any money to the band until he is gone.

Sorry it was that time before cell phones
Cell phones were the size of hard back books with a battery pack, and cameras were things with brown sprocketed plastic in them.
I don't know much about Art Bartner the person
care to elaborate for the group, or is it a personal issue?
Art is a great band director
who doesn’t really care about the kids in the band. Without going into detail, I find his behavior towards students to be appalling in some case. In my case it was verbal abuse, violation of my student right to privacy, and flat out lying that made me lose respect for him. Others have way worse stories including one time I know of when he threw a kid up against the wall at the Coliseum.

its not all that legendary. All I could say is that I am one of the guys responsible for the downfall of the old band.
Basically the reason why you guys can’t cuss, drink, sing lewd songs, have fun, and have spirit is pretty much all my fault. Sorry. Sucks to be you guys. Tell Art I said “F U old man.”

You can’t explain the truth to someone that doesn’t want to hear it. The facts of USC’s case will always be ignored by the people that can’t forget their team getting thumped for a decade by Pete Carroll and USC. I don’t bother letting the trolls get my angry. I tried explaining the truth to a hospital orderly once, and his response was “I don’t care, I just hate USC.” Screw the trolls. The best thing we can do is to keep on winning for the next 3 seasons.
