USC vs. Cal - Injury Update
This is from Michael Lev at the OCR...
Here’s the lowdown on the three USC players who left Thursday night’s game because of injuries:
** Receiver Marqise Lee suffered a sprained right shoulder.
** Tailback Marc Tyler suffered a dislocated left shoulder.
** Cornerback Anthony Brown suffered a broken left ankle.
Horrible news on Brown.
Lee will be day to day.
Don't expect much from Tyler for a few weeks.

This is the focal point of those sanctions
Even during the ‘good times’ the injury bug was always a nemesis. Now as SC struggles with depth issues these injuries ‘really hurt’… pun intended… sadly. Forget the confiscated bowl games… it will be the loss of 10 scholarships each year for the next three years that will limit if not eliminate USC’s ability to compete for a PAC-12 title and/or a BCS bowl game let alone a national title. It’s very simple… week in and week for the next three years every team that SC plays will have a manpower advantage. Beyond the numbers this will also affect the talent that comes to SC as well. The only antidote will be Lane Kiffin’s known recruiting prowess. Even this may fade given Kiffin’s eventual track record at USC… which given the sanctions is bound to be like this year and last… average at best.

We usually only play between low 40s to mid-50s players each game
So, 75 is plenty to field a strong team. The NFL plays with 53 for goodness sake!
A Quick Note for the Quitters
No comment from this thread will be deleted. You will have to own them when we get it turned around and beat Southern Cal. You will never ride the bandwagon when we come back. Not on BN. GO BRUINS.

Hope you're right...
but I still think the reality of those sanctions will prove otherwise… the NFL notwithstanding which in terms of football is light years beyond the college game. Believe me, the NFL guys would take a 100 man roster if they could afford it. They also get around that 53 man roster will stuff like practice squad personnel, injured reserve, and mid-season additions as needed. I heard Pete Carroll is interested in LeBron.
