Pete Carroll's Division Title Attempt Open Thread
Rams vs. Seahawks. 5:20 p.m. PST. NBC. Turn your television sets on.
One team is 7-8. The other is 6-9. One starts a rookie under center, who's actually rather good. The other starts a balding 35-year-old. One used to play in Los Angeles, in the Coliseum for that matter. And hey, the other almost moved to Southern California. Tonight's winner is guaranteed a division title and a home playoff game, where for all intents and purposes, will likely result in a three-touchdown loss. Pretty freakin sweet, right? Right.
Well, in a few hours, we'll see if one of those teams (the former being coached by Pete Carroll) can "earn" a trip to the postseason.

I need at least 42 points to be scored...
…so I win the tiebreaker in my weekly pool. Good for $20. I’m tied with two other guys. We all have St. Louis, so I don’t care who wins.
Sorry, Pete.
My wife loves the Rams so sorry Pete I’m all in with the Rams.

The upside of a Seattle victory...
…is that we could all give Scott Wolf an NFC West Championship enema. (Sorry about the visual with that one).
I'm not joking!
Doesn’t the lead referee look like the dad from “Good Times”?

I missed that
But DeSean Jackson often says Long Beach Poly; sometimes says Cal. That whole thing is generally pretty weird anyway.
Heard that!
And then I remember he came from U of Maine.

This game's kind of a snore-a-thon, no?
Chris Collinsworth keeps talking about “playoff game” too?
Uh. . . . . . . . . . .HUH?

Got to give Pete props
They may be the first division champ with a losing record in an embarrassment of a division, but a playoff appearance and division title earn a hearty congratulations. The SChawks need to rebuild their O-line and improve their QB play, but PC definitely improved the team in his one year stint. Congrats, Pete!
A Quick Note for the Quitters
No comment from this thread will be deleted. You will have to own them when we get it turned around and beat Southern Cal. You will never ride the bandwagon when we come back. Not on BN. GO BRUINS.

I'll be at Qwest Field on Saturday!
Yeah baby Win Forever! Oh to beat the Saints and that former Heisman winner, i forget his name, but I don’t care about next week yet. Pete did it. He F**in did it.
You all don’t live in Rain City but I get so sick of Brock Huard on ESPN radio – the Washington Husky QB legend – every f***n week Huard talking about how Pete sucks in every possible way and he only won at USC because he was a great recruiter. Well, F**k you Brock Huard and SC haters. Pete and the Seatlle Seahawks won the NFC West.
Fight On Seahawks!
