Thoughts on the Matt Leinart "Era" in Arizona
Was going to do a post of my own, but this sums it up pretty well anyway.

It would have been intersting to see what
Leinart could have accomplished behind Fisher and Chow in 2006. For whatever reason, Leinart was not able to capitalize on the wonderful opportunity that presented itself when Warner retired. I see no benefit to assigning blame and victims at this point, and I can guarantee you that the Texans don’t want to hear it either. Leinart needs to focus on being the best #3 QB in the league, and hope for someone to notice.
That said, screw Wisenhut. I hope the Cards suck.
I would add that
the Cardinals never gave him a chance. Maybe Leinart was not adept at parroting Wisenhut’s BS back to him, but with the Time and money invested in him they should have given him a chance to try to lead the team. Good luck with Derek Andersen, I’m sure that gonna be super!
Very good summation of
Matt’s career in AZ.

Too bad...
Leinart was brought in while AZ was still coached by an incompetent group. He didn’t get the training or attitude adjustment he needed.
He was never going to be popular in Phoenix, anyway. The Brynn Cameron thing and beer bong things just made it worse. USC is fairly well disliked too, and Kurt Warner is a really tough guy to be nicer/more hardworking than.
Not a surprise, but hopefully a change of scenery will help him shake some of his well-earned reputation and let him show he is a professional.

Really how dumb is that owner, he makes a senile Al Davis look brilliant.
As soon as Wisenbutt got there they should have traded Matt, but I guess the coach didn’t have even Lanes Balls to say simply say we will not work out.
So Fight On USC followers and Don’t worry WE Will Still Play on Saturdays and Bowls will come later, for WE ARE SC not That other Softball University. Oh and don’t say you now have a baseball team, it’s not Real Baseball unless you use Wooden Bats
