Some People Talking Crazy About Aaron Corp
On Saturday, everyone's favorite "Trojan" Aaron Corp made his FCS debut for Richmond against Virginia in Charlottesville, and surprisingly, posted relatively decent numbers (18-of-32 passing, 183 yards, 0 TDS, 1 INT). Nothing great, but based on his track record, you never know what to expect. Here's some more from Scott Wolf:
Here's what Richmond coach Latrell Scott told the Times-Dispatch:
"He's savvy. He's a leader. I think he made plays with his feet. He made good decisions."
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around those last two words. Maybe, somebody can explain.

Joey, we'll just agree to disagree
There was lot of critique about how Pete handled things last season, including the Aaron Corp situation. Some who blindly supported Pete (IN PETE WE TRUST crowd) would not acknowledge his shortcomings and failures (as great of a coach he has been). Aaron Corp situation was handled poorly (prior to UW) game.
One game against FBS opponent with a new coach doesn’t mean anything. How many FCS vs. FBS games were played last week? A lot. How many games FCS teams won? 2 (one miraculously, second – NDSU beat very poor KU team). You can’t judge Aaron by his one performance.
My take on this – let’s let it go and wish him success
I agree
That debacle last year was not solely of Corp’s making. Perhaps he could have handled it better, but fundamentally, he’s a student athlete and he was let down by coaches who are – were – paid large sums of money to not screw the pooch like that.
"When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea"
Aaron WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
So Fight On USC followers and Don’t worry WE Will Still Play on Saturdays and Bowls will come later, for WE ARE SC not That other Softball University. Oh and don’t say you now have a baseball team, it’s not Real Baseball unless you use Wooden Bats
